Movement, Mindfulness and Meditation.

Hello!

I’m Amy the founder of Roots Yoga.

I am originally from Northern Ireland but after a few pits stops, I settled in North Shields, Newcastle in 2018.

Living here is brilliant; there are so many things on our doorstep to enjoy and, most importantly, the people are FANTASTIC. I love combining all the great things about the North East with Movement, Meditation and Mindfulness.

I have completed over 650 hours of Yoga Teacher Training (Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Hatha and Kundalini) in Newcastle, London, Bali and India.

Up until recently, I was a full time Primary School Teacher, however due to an unmanageable strain on my mental health, I decided to change direction.

In most of my classes, workshops and events, I aim to add in the element of fun or play. That being said, I get that there are times when we just want to lie on the floor for an hour. Whatever your mindset or energy levels, you’re welcome to come a long and take/leave what you need.
